How to publish a blog on a PTN Website?

The newest feature on PTN website allows you to create and publish your own blog to share your thoughts, experience and most important: domain knowledge!

Now you can officially showcase what you know not only to PTN's members but also the public.


This article gives you a step-by-step instruction on how to publish your own very first blog on PTN Global Website.


Step 1: Requesting a blogger account to PTN Website's Administration Board.

PTN introduces a new custom role on the website: Blog Writer. Send an email to PTN's HR in order to be added as a writer and start your writing journey.

Step 2: Check your email and Login to the admin site

Once you're added, you will be able to log into PTN's Website Admin Board at manage.wix.com using your PTN's email address. Check your PTN's mailbox to be guided to the Admin Board!


Step 3: Writing your first blog

Click on Create New Post and add content to your blog. The text editor is very simple and intuitive, so just start writing!

While you are writing, there is always a "PLUS" icon at the beginning of your text. By clicking on that icon, you can add multimedia resource to your blog: Image, Gallery or even a video!

Step 4: Getting more audience: Modifying your SEO Settings!

On the far left side menu, click on the "SEO" button. A panel will be showed allowing you to change the SEO's settings of your blog to engage more readers.

The SEO Elements:

On the SEO Basics:

  • URL Slurs: This is the ending of your URL telling people what your page is about. Keep it short and descriptive.

  • Title Tag: This is what people will see when your page is showed on a search engine. Make sure it is easy to read and straight to the point. Please always end this text with "| PTN Global"

  • Meta description: This tells people more about your website.

Social share: On this tab, you can review and see how your page would appear if it was shared on a social media platform. Make sure to add a cover image to make your blog look more attractive! You can see how to do this at the next step.

Step 5: Adding a cover image to your blog

Click on the "Settings" button on the left menu, a side panel displayed. On the "General" tab of the side panel, make sure the "Display cover image" is enabled.

Then, click on the Loading icon (with 2 cursive arrows) to upload an image that will be used as a cover.


Step 6: Adding a category to your blog

Click on "Categories" button on the left menu to give your blog a category. By doing this, your readers can browse through your posts easily by topics.

Step 7: Publishing your blog!

Now you are done with all the editing, click on the top right button to Publish your blog! You can also save your blog as a draft version for a second tier preview, or schedule to post your blog at a designated time.
